New pill tested to fight breast cancer in the brain
NCT ID NCT01494662
Summary
This study tested how well a daily pill called neratinib works for people with a specific type of breast cancer (HER2-positive) that has spread to the brain. The goal was to see if the drug could shrink or stabilize the brain tumors. Researchers also wanted to understand how much of the drug reaches the brain and how previous treatments affected patients' thinking skills.
