Radioactive drug joins fight against breast cancer in bones
NCT ID NCT04090398
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a radioactive drug called Radium-223 to standard chemotherapy (paclitaxel) works better for people with breast cancer that has spread to their bones. The radioactive drug travels to the bones and aims to kill cancer cells there, potentially slowing the cancer's growth and reducing bone pain. About 70 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the combination or chemotherapy alone to see which is more effective at controlling the disease.
