New attack on breast Cancer's bone spread: radiation and surgery join the fight

NCT ID NCT00929214

Summary

This study is testing if adding local treatments like surgery and radiation to standard drug therapy helps control breast cancer that has spread to the bones for a longer time. It involves patients whose cancer has spread to only 1-3 bone sites. The goal is to see if aggressively treating these specific bone spots, along with standard medications, can keep the cancer from progressing longer than medications alone.
