Doctors test better ways to track breast cancer in bones

NCT ID NCT02900118

Summary

This study aimed to find better ways to monitor breast cancer that has spread to bones. Researchers compared two imaging methods—PET-CT scans and whole-body MRI—to see if they agreed on whether bone tumors were responding to treatment. The study involved 28 patients with breast cancer that had spread to their bones, looking at how well these scans could track treatment effectiveness.
