Blood holds clues to better breast cancer care

NCT ID NCT04308720

Summary

This study aims to learn if simple blood tests can help doctors personalize radiation treatment for breast cancer. Researchers are tracking tiny cancer DNA fragments and immune cells in the blood of 217 patients before, during, and after their radiation therapy. The goal is to see if changes in these blood markers can predict how well the treatment is working, which could lead to more tailored care in the future.
