Freeze and burn: new breast cancer treatment aims to replace surgery
NCT ID NCT07484087
Summary
This study is testing a new, less invasive treatment for early-stage breast cancer. It compares a technique that freezes and heats the tumor (cryo-thermal ablation) against standard breast-conserving surgery. The main goal is to see if the new method is as effective at preventing cancer from coming back while potentially offering better cosmetic results. Researchers will track 264 patients to measure cancer recurrence, survival, and patient satisfaction.
