Sitting less, moving more: quick exercise breaks may boost metabolism

Summary

This study looks at whether taking short breaks from sitting to do light or intense cycling can lower blood sugar, insulin, and inflammation in healthy overweight adults. Sixteen inactive participants will be monitored for 7 hours after a meal. The goal is to find which type of exercise break best improves heart health markers and fat burning.
