Wearable device zaps brain tumors in new safety trial

NCT ID NCT05310448

Summary

This study is testing the safety of adding a wearable device called Optune to standard radiation and chemotherapy for adults with brainstem gliomas. The device creates low-intensity electric fields that may interfere with cancer cell division. Researchers will monitor 10 patients for side effects and see if the combination helps control tumor growth and extend survival.
