Brain wave therapy tested as new PTSD treatment

NCT ID NCT02990793

Summary

This study tested whether a personalized magnetic brain stimulation therapy could help reduce symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). 158 adults with PTSD received either the real treatment or a placebo version for 5 weeks, with neither participants nor doctors knowing which was which. Researchers measured changes in PTSD symptoms to see if this brain stimulation approach could provide a new treatment option.
