Radical brain surgery trial aims to extend lives of glioblastoma patients
NCT ID NCT04243005
Summary
This study is testing whether removing more tissue around an aggressive brain tumor (glioblastoma) during surgery helps patients live longer. It compares this more extensive 'supramarginal' surgery to the standard approach in 90 selected patients. The main goal is to see if taking this extra margin improves survival, while carefully tracking risks to brain function and quality of life.
