New brain scan tracer seeks to sharpen tumor images

NCT ID NCT05676489

Summary

This early study is testing a new radioactive tracer called MeFAMP for PET scans to see if it can safely and clearly show brain tumors. It will first check safety in healthy volunteers, then test the tracer in patients with recurrent high-grade glioma or brain metastases from other cancers. The main goals are to see how much radiation the body absorbs from the tracer and to check for any side effects.
