Scientists test Drug's path to the brain in fight against recurrent tumors

NCT ID NCT02933736

Summary

This study is testing whether an oral cancer drug called ribociclib can get into the brain and reach recurrent brain tumors. It involves 48 adults with recurrent high-grade glioma or meningioma who are scheduled for surgery. Patients take the drug for a short time before their operation so researchers can measure drug levels in the removed tumor tissue and spinal fluid.
