Scientists test new Pill's journey to brain tumors

NCT ID NCT06636162

Summary

This early study is testing whether an experimental oral drug called DSP-0390 can reach brain tumors in sufficient amounts and affect tumor cell metabolism. Researchers will give the drug for about two weeks to 20 patients with specific types of brain tumors (grade II/III gliomas) who are already scheduled for surgical removal. They will measure drug levels and cholesterol-related markers in tumor tissue removed during surgery and in blood samples to understand how the drug behaves.
