Mind over matter: can brain training calm a stressed heart?
NCT ID NCT07244484
Summary
This study is testing a non-drug method to help people with stable coronary heart disease and anxiety. It uses a brain-computer interface to give participants real-time feedback on their brain activity, aiming to teach them to calm their nervous system and reduce heart rate during stress. Researchers will compare a real feedback group to a sham (fake) feedback group to see if the training can improve heart and brain responses.
