Can you think away your pain? brain training trial offers hope for chemo survivors

NCT ID NCT02573766

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain training technique called neurofeedback can help people manage chronic nerve pain caused by chemotherapy. Participants with breast cancer who have had this pain for at least three months will use a computer program that gives feedback on their brainwaves, aiming to teach them to reduce their perception of pain. The goal is to see if this approach improves their quality of life compared to standard care or a sham training.
