NCT ID NCT04648371

First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether an 8-week program of daily brain training exercises, combined with a gentle electrical current applied to the scalp (tDCS), can improve thinking, balance, and daily living skills in seniors with mental health conditions. About 270 participants living in senior housing will be randomly assigned to receive either real or fake tDCS during training. The goal is to help seniors stay independent and avoid moving into long-term care.
