NCT ID NCT04266665

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called dexmedetomidine, given during anesthesia, could help protect the brain during surgery to remove a tumor. Researchers wanted to see if it could reduce brain stress and inflammation, potentially leading to better recovery and thinking skills after the operation. The trial involved 56 patients undergoing brain tumor surgery, comparing the drug to a placebo.
