Scientists map the Brain's 'Forget' button for bad memories
NCT ID NCT06891612
Summary
This study aimed to understand how healthy young brains voluntarily suppress negative or unpleasant memories. Researchers used EEG brain scans and computer tasks to measure attention and brain activity while participants tried to block certain memories. The goal was to map the brain's 'forgetting' process to better understand how it might go wrong in conditions like anxiety and depression.
