Scientists scan brains to see how social training rewires teens with autism and schizophrenia

NCT ID NCT05185128

Summary

This study aims to understand how a 16-week social skills training program affects the brain in teenagers with autism or schizophrenia. Researchers will use MRI brain scans before and after the training to see if brain connections and chemistry change. They will compare these teens to a group of typically developing teens who do not receive the training, hoping to learn what brain changes are linked to real-world improvements in social interaction.
