Magnetic pulses to the brain: a new hope for Schizophrenia's hidden symptoms?

NCT ID NCT03741751

Summary

This small, terminated pilot study tested whether combining a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (rTMS) with computer-based thinking exercises could improve cognitive problems like memory and focus in adults with schizophrenia. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either real or fake (sham) brain stimulation along with two weeks of daily computer training. The main goal was to see if this combined approach was feasible and tolerable, and if it showed any early signs of improving daily functioning and thinking skills.
