Scientists probe Brain's wiring during surgery to make operations safer

NCT ID NCT06391294

Summary

This study aims to better understand how a common brain stimulation technique works. It is for people already scheduled for brain surgery to treat epilepsy or remove a tumor. Researchers will use the stimulation and a safe cooling technique during surgery to learn how it affects brain cells and connections, hoping this leads to shorter, more precise operations in the future.
