First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests a special deep brain stimulation (DBS) device that can both stimulate the brain and record its electrical signals. Researchers want to find brain signal patterns that show when the treatment is working for people with severe, treatment-resistant depression. Ten participants will use the device for up to a year, tracking their mood and brain activity to improve future DBS therapy.
