Summary
This study tested whether gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the scalp could boost specific 'gamma' brain waves linked to memory and thinking. Researchers compared two stimulation patterns on the frontal areas of the brain in 30 healthy adults aged 50-80. The goal was to see how these patterns affected brain activity and performance on a computer-based memory task, to gather knowledge for future research on conditions like Alzheimer's.
