Zapping the brain to fight addiction cravings

NCT ID NCT01876524

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique could reduce cravings in people struggling with both substance use and another mental health condition like ADHD or bipolar disorder. Researchers targeted a specific brain area linked to craving using a method called transcranial random noise stimulation. The goal was to see if this approach could help manage addiction symptoms in this complex patient group.
