Shock and stretch: new combo therapy targets Parkinson's balance woes

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (tDCS plus ultrasound) combined with physical therapy can help improve balance problems in people with Parkinson's disease. Forty adults with Parkinson's who have trouble with balance will receive either real or fake stimulation during physical therapy sessions over several weeks. The goal is to see if this combo approach leads to better motor function and steadiness.
