Scientists probe brain signals to unlock voice restoration in movement disorders

NCT ID NCT05150093

Summary

This study aims to understand how voice problems occur in people with dystonia or essential tremor who are already scheduled for deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. Researchers will measure brain activity while participants speak during surgery to see how DBS affects voice control. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better treatments for voice disorders in the future.
