Zap to the brain aims to help people find their words again

NCT ID NCT06840808

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive electric stimulation to a specific part of the brain could help people with a history of traumatic brain injury who have trouble finding words. Fourteen civilian participants received either real or fake (sham) stimulation over ten sessions to see if it improved their performance on word and memory tests. The goal was to see if this safe, painless technique could ease a common and frustrating long-term symptom of brain injury.
