Zapping the brain to find lost words
NCT ID NCT02101398
Summary
This study tested a non-invasive brain stimulation technique to see if it could help people who have trouble speaking after a stroke. Researchers compared four different ways to place the stimulation pads on the head against a fake stimulation, all while participants did speech therapy. The goal was to see if one specific placement was better at helping people name pictures correctly.
