Zapping the brain to ease Parkinson's shakes

NCT ID NCT07018388

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called temporal interference stimulation (tTIS) can improve movement symptoms in people with early to mid-stage Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare stimulation of two different brain areas to see which works better at reducing symptoms like tremor, stiffness, and slowness when patients are off their regular medication. Each participant will try both real stimulation types and a sham (fake) stimulation in separate sessions to directly compare the effects.
