Summary
This early research study is testing whether a personalized brain stimulation device can help people with severe opioid addiction who haven't responded to standard treatments. Researchers will first map brain activity to identify craving signals, then use an implanted device to deliver stimulation when those signals are detected. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can reduce cravings and opioid use in six carefully selected participants.
