Zapping the brain to quiet OCD thoughts

NCT ID NCT04106102

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help people with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) who haven't gotten better with standard therapies like medication and therapy. Researchers are using a device that sends a very low electrical current through the scalp to try to calm the brain circuits involved in OCD. The goal is to see if this safe, simple approach can reduce symptoms for people who have run out of other options.
