Zapping the brain to ease OCD fears?

NCT ID NCT05521074

Summary

This study explored whether a mild, non-invasive brain stimulation technique (tDCS) could help people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) better learn to reduce fear. Researchers tested 86 adults with OCD, measuring their brain activity and skin responses during a two-day computerized fear-learning task. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future therapy by combining brain stimulation with talk therapy.
