Zapping the brain to quiet the voices: new hope for hallucinations?

NCT ID NCT05165654

Summary

This small study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation to a specific part of the brain could help reduce hallucinations. It involved 12 adults with psychosis who were actively experiencing hallucinations. Researchers used a technique called high-definition tDCS to target an area thought to be involved in processing sights and sounds, aiming to see if it could improve symptoms.
