First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This early study tests whether a brain implant that sends small electrical pulses can safely reduce episodes of loss-of-control eating in people with severe obesity. Six adults who have not been helped by other treatments will receive the device. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also see if it cuts down on binge eating episodes.
