Zapping seizures away: new brain stimulation trial offers hope

Summary

This study is testing whether a personalized, non-invasive brain stimulation treatment can reduce seizure frequency in people with drug-resistant epilepsy. 60 participants aged 9+ will receive either real or sham stimulation for 10 days in a crossover design. Researchers will measure changes in seizure frequency, quality of life, and safety to see if this approach helps control epilepsy when medications fail.
