Zapping depression away: brain stimulation trial tests new hope
NCT ID NCT02506127
Summary
This study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation (iTBS) could help people with major depression who still have symptoms despite taking medication. Participants received either real or fake stimulation sessions over two weeks, with some getting additional treatment if needed. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce depression symptoms and provide lasting relief.
