Zapping depression: new brain stimulation method tested

NCT ID NCT06165445

Summary

This study tested whether a new type of brain stimulation works better for depression than the standard method. Researchers compared three approaches in 60 adults with moderate-to-severe depression: a new multi-channel stimulation, the conventional stimulation, and a sham (fake) stimulation. The goal was to find the safest and most effective stimulation protocol to help control depression symptoms.
