Brain zap showdown: deep vs standard depression treatment tested
NCT ID NCT07198438
Summary
This study is testing two different ways of using non-invasive brain stimulation to help people with major depression who haven't gotten better with at least one antidepressant. Researchers will compare a newer method that targets a deeper brain area with the standard method that targets a surface area. About 90 participants will receive one of the two treatments daily for four weeks to see which approach works better at reducing depression symptoms.
