Zapping the brain to fight COPD breathlessness?

NCT ID NCT06944626

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique could help people with COPD feel less short of breath during a disease flare-up. Researchers enrolled 30 hospitalized patients and compared real brain stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment, alongside standard physical therapy. The goal was to see if this approach could improve breathing comfort, lung function, and daily activity levels.
