Magnetic pulses target Brain's emotion center in BPD pilot

NCT ID NCT07223619

Summary

This UCLA pilot study is testing whether gentle, non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation can help people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) better control their emotions and impulses. Researchers will use brain scans to find the best target for stimulation in 20 participants, who will receive up to three stimulation sessions. The goal is to see if stimulating specific brain circuits improves emotional regulation compared to current treatments.
