First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation method called rTMS can help people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) better regulate their emotions and control impulsive behavior. Up to 20 participants will receive an MRI scan, up to 3 rTMS sessions, and computer-based thinking tests over about 3 weeks. The goal is to find the best brain area to target for future treatments.
