Zapping the brain to fight forgetfulness: new hope for Alzheimer's?
NCT ID NCT07290686
Summary
This study tested a combination of three non-drug therapies to see if they could help improve memory, thinking, and quality of life in older adults with mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease. Thirty-three participants received either the active treatment or a sham (placebo) version. The treatment involved gentle electrical brain stimulation, light therapy delivered through the nose, and memory exercises, all done together over several weeks.
