Scientists zap brains to unlock Depression's Decision-Making puzzle
NCT ID NCT04099056
Summary
This research aims to understand how specific brain areas influence difficult decision-making in people with depression. Researchers will recruit 500 participants, including people with depression and healthy volunteers, to play game-like tasks while receiving safe, non-invasive brain stimulation. The goal is to learn how disruptions in brain function might affect choices and motivation in depression, which could inform future treatments.
