Zap to the back and brain: new hope for hand movement after injury

NCT ID NCT07334977

Summary

This study is testing whether combining two safe, non-invasive electrical stimulation techniques—one to the brain and one to the spinal cord—can work together to improve hand function and thinking skills after a stroke or spinal cord injury. Researchers will compare the combined stimulation to each method alone and a placebo in 45 participants, including healthy volunteers for comparison. The goal is to see if this approach can boost the benefits of standard rehabilitation therapy.
