Brain wave breakthrough could sharpen epilepsy surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether measuring specific, fast brain signals called 'fast-ripples' can help doctors better plan surgery for people with drug-resistant epilepsy. It will compare surgery outcomes for 440 patients, where half have their brain surgery plan informed by these signals and half do not. The main goal is to see if using this extra information leads to more patients being seizure-free one year after surgery.
