Brain maps could revolutionize OCD treatment selection

NCT ID NCT05829681

Summary

This Stanford University study aims to use MRI brain scans to predict which type of brain stimulation treatment will work best for people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Researchers are studying 212 adults with moderate to severe OCD who haven't improved with standard treatments. The goal is to create personalized brain 'fingerprints' that can guide doctors to choose the most effective brain stimulation target for each individual patient.
