Brain scans could reveal who will benefit from back pain treatment

NCT ID NCT04658628

Summary

This research study aims to identify brain patterns that might predict whether spinal cord stimulation will help people with chronic low back pain. Researchers will perform brain scans on 42 patients before they receive this standard pain treatment, then follow up two weeks later. The goal is to find imaging markers that could help doctors better select patients who are likely to respond well to spinal cord stimulation.
