Brain scans may predict OCD therapy success in children

NCT ID NCT07570108

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether brain scans can predict and track how well a type of therapy called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) works for children and teens with OCD. Thirty participants aged 10 to 17 will receive 14 weeks of ERP therapy and have their brain activity measured with fMRI scans before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to see if patterns in brain connections can help forecast symptom changes over the course of therapy and follow-up.
