New scan aims to tell tumor from scar tissue in brain cancer
NCT ID NCT04373720
Summary
This study is testing a special type of MRI scan called magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) to see if it can tell the difference between a brain tumor coming back and scar tissue from previous radiation treatment. The goal is to help doctors make more accurate diagnoses and better plan for surgery or other treatments. The study will enroll about 80 adults with a history of glioma who have a concerning area on their brain scans.
