New brain scan aims to pinpoint hidden cause of dementia
NCT ID NCT05456503
Summary
This study is testing a new type of brain scan to see if it can detect a specific protein called tau, which builds up in some forms of dementia. Researchers will compare scans from people with different types of Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia to scans from healthy people. The goal is to see if this scan can tell these conditions apart and predict how symptoms might change over time.
